Detroit, MI – One Person Killed in Crash on West 8 Mile Rd

Detroit, MI (November 3, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the Detroit area claimed one person’s life on Monday. On November 2, the Detroit Police Department responded to the scene of an accident on West 8 Mile Road.

Reports from authorities show that a red Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by a male from the Warren area, was traveling in the 7500 block of West 8 Mile Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a blue Chrysler.

The impact of the crash sent the Chevrolet into a building, causing a gas main and water main leak. Emergency crews rushed to the site of the accident and immediately secured the area.

The driver of the Chevrolet sustained fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
